DIGIVET Project Dissemination Event in Brussels Welcomes 36 Participants

On April 17, EDI successfully hosted a dissemination event in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together 36 participants from across Belgium. The event marked an important milestone in promoting the project’s results and exchanging ideas on the digital transformation of vocational education and training (VET).

Sharing the Vision of DIGIVET

The dissemination event offered participants a detailed introduction to the DIGIVET Project, which focuses on the digital transformation of curricula for vocational high schools in the field of electrical engineering and electronics. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, DIGIVET develops innovative solutions such as the EVOCE Platform and Virtual Lab 2.0, ensuring that applied VET subjects can be taught in a flexible, accessible, and engaging digital format.

Speakers highlighted how the project addresses challenges that vocational schools face in the digital era, especially the difficulties in delivering hands-on learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Event Highlights

Presentation of Project Results: Attendees learned about the development and functions of the EVOCE Platform and Virtual Lab 2.0, both designed to support teachers and students in the digital transition.

Interactive Discussions: Participants engaged in group exchanges about how digital tools can be integrated into existing VET curricula, and how schools can benefit from DIGIVET’s open resources.

Networking Opportunities: Representatives of VET schools, NGOs, and stakeholders in Brussels had the chance to connect with the consortium partners and explore possibilities for future collaboration.

Strong Engagement and Impact

The event welcomed a diverse audience of 36 people, including educators, trainers, policymakers, and project partners. Their active participation demonstrated the strong interest in DIGIVET’s outputs and confirmed the relevance of the project’s mission to enhance digital competences in VET.

Feedback collected during the event emphasized the importance of providing practical, user-friendly tools to support both teachers and students in digital environments.

With the successful dissemination in Brussels, the DIGIVET  project continues its journey towards building a sustainable digital education ecosystem in vocational schools. The next steps will include further piloting of the EVOCE Platform, finalization of Virtual Lab 2.0 modules, and ongoing multiplier events to share project results more widely across Europe.
